Palembang, South Sumatra, June 11 (Antara) - The people in South Sumatra should not worry about fuel oil supply ahead of fuel price hikes, local state oil company PT Pertamina official has said. Pertamina South Sumatra Sales Administration Manager Sahat Purba said here on Tuesday that the the fuel oil supply in the province was sufficient and therefore the consumers should not worry about it. "We guarantee the fuel oil stock will remain sufficient until the next ten days because the supply will be added by Pertamina Plaju," Sahat said. According to him, fuel oil supply in Kertapati area was still enough to meet the local people`s demand for the next ten days. "Therefore when the fuel price hikes is announced by the government, the people don`t have to queue to get the fuel oil because the supply is enough and the distribution will also be tightly supervised," he said. Related to long queues at a number of gas stations in South Sumatra, he said said it was because of slow distribution to the gas stations, but Pertamina had sufficient stock and therefore the people should not be in panic to face fuel price hikes.
