Turkey hopeful about solution of Euro zone economic crisis

ISTANBUL (A.A) - February 23, 2012 - Turkey's deputy prime minister said on Thursday that Turkey was hopeful that the Euro zone economic crisis could be resolved. Ali Babacan said Europe was undergoing a hard economic process, and many countries had to take measures and make reforms. "It is not something that cannot be overcome, we are still hopeful," Babacan told reporters in Istanbul before he flew to Mexico to attend G-20 ministerial meeting. Babacan said if Europe implemented right policies and took right steps, economy could start to recover.  "However, Europe is facing such a heavy debt burden and high budget deficits that it will take so long to overcome them or diminish debt burden to reasonable levels," Babacan said. Babacan said if every country did whatever it had to do, the problem could be solved at a great extent, adding that Euro zone countries should have coordination and pursue policies in harmony with each other.
