Limkokwing Brings Asian And African Love To London Fashion Week 2018

CYBERJAYA, Feb 28 (Bernama) — Limkokwing University of Creative and Technology made its third appearance at the London Fashion Week 2018 to showcase Asia and African elements. The university is the only Asian university participating in one of the most prestigious fashion events in the world at Freemasons Hall on February 18. Selecting “Date Night” as the theme, the design team showcase the collection that reflect mixed experience of a cool, romantic, hip and attitude that couples in Asia and Africa possess on a date night out. Creative Director and University Vice President of Brand Creativity & Talent Development Tiffanee Marie Lim said students with the design team produced slim silhouettes from old ideas sourced from Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Cambodia, Thailand, Iran, Botswana, Sierra Leone and Swaziland. “Limkokwing is a unique network of talents. There is no way we would pass up the chance to say something about how we live and exchange ideas. This collection should represent us as close-knit collaborators. “The far-hidden underdogs/the so-called underdeveloped are sometimes the most imaginative. We loved exploring these cool people in special towns like Jogjakarta, Angkor, Gaborone, then asked what if we were headed to the Royal Albert Hall,” she said in a statement. -- BERNAMA
