"Azerbaijan - land of tolerance" photo exhibition wraps up in Paris

Paris, September 11, AZERTAC
A photo exhibition titled “Azerbaijan – land of tolerance” by famous photographer Reza Deghati has wrapped up in Paris. The exhibition was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The exhibition, which opened on September 3 with participation of First lady of Azerbaijan, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, has been in the spotlight of the French public, Parisian art lovers as well as media outlets.
It exposition focused on Azerbaijan’s long tradition of multiculturalism.
In his media presentation "Dreams of humanity", Deghati raised the issue of tolerance once again. In this project, he took a wide berth the problem of refugees and internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan. The photos showcased a destiny and despair of more than one million Azerbaijani refugees who have been forced to leave their homes.
In an interview with AZERTAC, Reza said that “the Azerbaijani model of tolerance can be demonstrated around the world”. He has also thanked the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for supporting culture worldwide. “The Foundation contributes greatly to the development of culture and promotion of tolerance, preservation of cultural heritage and protection of children. This is very important today in such a contradictory world,” he said.
Well-known photographer Reza Deghati for the first time visited Azerbaijan in 1987. Under the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, he has implemented several projects in different countries.
