Grand arts exhibition in remembrance of late King Rama IX organized in Bangkok
BANGKOK, October 12 (TNA) - The Thai government, through the Ministry of Culture, is organizing a grand exhibition of comprehensive Thai arts masterpieces in the heart of Bangkok in remembrance of late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who has been honorably recognized as the "Great Artist of Thailand".
Thai Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam presided over a ceremony to inaugurate the grand exhibition, set from October 12 to 21, at the Hall of Fame on the M-Floor of the Paragon Shopping Complex in the capital's Pathumwan area on Friday, in which Culture Minister Veera Rojpojchanarat and groups of national artists, popular singers, actors, actresses and even a crowd of the general public participated.
During the 10-day event, international visitors are welcome to see the selected Thai films, TV series and music free of charges.
During the weekends, there will also be public forums where visitors can meet specialists and popular actors and actressed in Thai TV series and listen to experiences they will publicly share.
Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej passed away at Bangkok's Siriraj Hospital on October 13, 2016 at the age of 89.
The ongoing exhibition of comprehensive Thai arts masterpieces is a grand event in remembrance and in honor of the late King Rama IX the Great for his talent in several areas of Thai arts, including music, painting, photography, literature and handicraft, which can inspire people to follow his royal foot steps, and to express the gratitude of the Thai people for the late and beloved Thai king's patronage of the Thai arts of several areas, which are considered the national heritages.
