Heavy fog delays Chiang Mai flights

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND, December 20 (TNA) - Thick fog delayed all flights, scheduled to land at Chiang Mai International Airport in the Thai North, on Tuesday morning. The thick winter fog blanketing the Chiang Mai Airport, caused the visibility to have dropped to less than 100 metres, forcing a temporary suspension of all the landing flights. After 40-minute circling around the northern Thai airport, some planes made a landing at Phisanulok Airport in the Lower Thai North and Bangkok's Don Muang Airport, before they could later fly to the Chiang Mai International Airport.
