Mourners receive food at Bangkok train station
BANGKOK, October 19 (TNA) - The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) distributes food, drinking water, black t-shirts and black ribbons for people travelling to Bangkok to pay their respects to late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
SRT Governor Wutthichart Kalayanamitr told journalists on Wednesday that SRT and its state and private allies have set up a center to facilitate mourners at Bangkok’s Hualamphong Train Station.
Wutthichart said refreshing cool towels, herbal inhalants are also available, while medical teams are stationed to help travellers.
Besides, train carriages have been added in all routes to serve at least 80,000-100,000 passengers daily, while SRT accepts public donations at the Hualumphong Train Station.
Meanwhile, Thai people across the country have continued crowding the capital to pay their respects to the late and beloved Thai King in front of his portrait at the Sala Sahathai Samakhom inside the Grand Palace.
The general public are welcome to pay their respects to the royal urn of the late and beloved Thai monarch from October 28, 2016 onwards.(TNA)
