Papua Enggang Air Plane Crashes At Mulia Airstrip

Jayapura, Papua, Sept 9 (Antara) - An Enggang Air plane met with an accident while landing at the Mulia airstrip in the Papuan highlands of Puncak Jaya on Tuesday afternoon. The accident caused damage to the body of the airplane, which was carrying 11 passengers and crew members, according to information provided by a source to Antara. The plane overshot the runway, veering to the left about 400 meters from the end of the landing strip, leaving its left front wheel and right wing broken. All the 11 passengers and crew members have been taken to the Mulia regional general hospital for medical examination.
