Police nabbed drugs dealers, seized over 300,000 meth pills

BANGKOK, Oct 17 (TNA) -- Royal Thai Police's Narcotic Suppression Bureau announced the arrests of 16 drug smugglers along with the 300,000 methamphetamine pills, which is part of the operation on drugs trafficking eradication at 32 locations across the country. Narcotics Suppression Bureau chief Pol Lt Col Rewat Klinkesorn held a press conference earlier today, to inform the public of the results of operation to eradicate drugs syndicate at 30 targets in 32 locations nationwide. He said 16 drugs smugglers were captured, 7 of which were minors, along with 322,000 meth pills. Lt Col Rewat said that 250,000 pills were confiscated in an apartment located in Lad Prao district, after being tipped off that the drugs would be mobilised to be delivered to different clients around Bangkok and its peripheral provinces. The rest of the drugs were seized in Nikom Phatthana disrict of Rayong province, where the arrested suspects confessed that they had been stashing the drugs by burying them in the cassava farm.
