President Supports Sukabumi Upgrade Transportation Facilities

Sukabumi, West Java, Oct 21 (Antara) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has said he fully supports State Enterprises (BUMN) Minister Dahlan Iskan`s initiative to upgrade the transportation facilities and infrastructure in Sukabumi, West Java. "The people of Sukabumi have long dreamed of a better transportation facility and infrastructure, and therefore, I fully support the minister`s initiative to improve them," the president remarked here on Monday. President Yudhoyono noted that the development of the transportation facility and infrastructure in Sukabumi was necessary to improve the mobility of the people and the transport of goods. The head of state expressed hope that the BUMN minister`s initiative would soon be implemented under the program and budget of the Ministry of Transportation. "I hope what has been initiated by the BUMN minister will serve as a solution to the transportation problem being faced by the people of Sukabumi," the president added.
