Slovenian president: Iran is hub of stability in region

Tehran, May 1, IRNA – Slovenian President Borut Pahor said on Wednesday that Iran is an important and historical state, serving as the hub of stability in the region. Speaking to Iran Ambassador to Ljubljana Morteza Darzi Ramandi, the President welcomed Iranian governmentˈs policies and the agreement with G3+3. Pahor wished the Iranian ambassador success during his new mission in Slovenia and said he was confident that in the period Iran and Slovenia will launch joint efforts to build mutual understanding and further upgrade bilateral ties. The president said that Iran and Slovenia would hold consultations to open a new chapter in bilateral relations. He hailed foreign policy of Iranian government and constructive engagement with the world states, including expansion of relations with the European Union and promotion of relations with Slovenia. Ramandi, conveying warm greeting of Iranian president to the Slovenian president, said Iran is eager to expand economic and commercial ties with Slovenia. He said good grounds are available for economic cooperation in various sectors. end
