Thais in SKorea pay last respect to late King
SEOUL, October 17 (TNA) - Thais residing in South Korea have joined a prayers and merit making ceremony to pay their last respect to late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Thai Embassy in Seoul.
The Thai people living or presently studying in South Korea crowded the Thai Embassy in Seoul on Monday to pay their respect to the late beloved and revered Thai monarch.
Thai Ambassador to South Korea Sarun Charoensuwan first led his diplomatic team and the gathering Thai people for a 9-minute silence to mourn the late Thai King, followed by the mass prayers and merit making ceremony.
The Lao Ambassador to South Korea was also present at the Thai Embassy in Seoul to sign his name in the condolence book for the late Thai monarch amid sad and weeping atmosphere.
Although the Thai Embassy in Seoul is not big enough to accommodate the crowd attending the ceremony,people stood in a line in front of the embassy to
join the prayers and merit making ceremony and to pay their last respect to the world's longest-reigned Thai King, who passed away peacefully at Bangkok's Siriraj Hospital last Thursday afternoon (October 13) at the age of 89. (TNA)
