Russia, Bahrain to step up work on visa waiver agreement - Lavrov

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Russia and Bahrain are interested in boosting tourist exchanges and plan to step up work on a visa waiver agreement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference following talks with his Bahraini counterpart Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa on Wednesday. "We have pointed out that tourist exchanges have increased significantly during the past season, growing by one third," the Russian top diplomat emphasized. "We agreed to strengthen the bilateral legal framework. There are a number of agreements that are in the final stage of consideration and today, we confirmed our intention to step up work on a visa waiver agreement," Lavrov added. Read more
