Abdollahian: Syrian PM In Tehran To Find Diplomatic Solution To Syria Crisis

Tehran, Nov 30, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, says Syrian Prime Minister, Wael Nader al-Halqi, is in Tehran to hold talks with Iranians on a diplomatic solution to Syria crisis.
Amir-Abdollhian told reporters that the key to success of Geneva 2 will be to avoid supporting certain parties that help entry of terrorists and arms to Syria.
He said Iran holds some views for more successful Syrian-Syrian dialogue on the eve of the Geneva 2 talks.
“The viewpoints will be obtained through consultation with friends in the region and direct talks with Syria and within this framework we can reach a common strategy,” said the Iranian official.
He said Syrian Prime minister and Foreign minister along with a number of other ministers of the country is of high importance and will help diplomatically settle Syria crisis, while guaranteeing regional peace, stability and security./end
