Agreed on easy terms travels between the countries

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on Saturday, the cabinet members agreed on easy terms mutual travel with Poland, Serbia, and Columbia.
The agreement has been established as under the fourth section of the Government’s action plan 2012-2016, where it has stated to ease the travel conditions for Mongolian citizens to other countries.
So far, Mongolia has negotiated on easy terms travel with 23 countries and on visa-free travel with 16.
The cabinet supported an agreement on visa-free mutual travel for all types passport owners up to ninety days visit with the Republic of Serbia. This is regarded as a positive step to refresh relations with former Yugoslavia, while supporting mutual tourism and businesses between the two countries.
The cabinet also approved an intergovernmental agreement on mutual visa liberation for holders of diplomat and official passports between Mongolia and Columbia. According to the document, signed by the parts during the 68th UN General Assembly Session in New York, citizens of both countries can now visit each other up to thirty days without visa.
At the meeting, an amendment was made to the protocol for the intergovernmental agreement on mutual visa liberalization for diplomat and official passport holders between Mongolia and Poland, correcting a translation mistake that was causing misunderstanding at the customs. The previous translation of “official passport” as “service passport” for a Mongolian official passport has been changed into “official passport”, while the Polish official passport remained as the “service passport”.
