Ahmadinejad Underlines Expansion Of Iran-Singapore Ties

Tehran, Feb 1, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran–Singapore relations are growing, adding that the two countries have cultural commonalities which could be used for strengthening cooperation. According to the report of Presidential Office website on Tuesday, President Ahmadinejad received Singaporean new Ambassador to Tehran Chutai Su. In the meeting, the president said that nowadays all nations and governments should have close relations with each other because building a better world needs collective participation. Ahmadinejad said that Iran and Singapore have common viewpoints in many fields and expressed hope that mutual cooperation expand more. Ambassador Su, after submitting his credentials to President Ahmadinejad, expressed his pleasure with being in Iran and called for expansion of bilateral cooperation. He said that bilateral ties have been friendly since a long time ago and expressed hope that the relations expand more./end
