Bombings in Iraq kill 2 Iranian pilgrims, injure 12

TEHRAN,Oct.1(MNA) – An official at the Iranian Red Crescent Society said that two Iranian pilgrims were killed and 12 others injured in bombings in Iraq on Sunday. According to the Associated Press, bombs striking Shiite neighborhoods, security forces and other targets across Iraq killed at least 26 people. The deadliest attack came in the town of Taji, north of Baghdad, where three explosive-laden cars went off within minutes of each other. Police said eight people died and 28 were injured in the back-to-back blasts that began around 7:15 a.m.
