Consul-General meets Alameda Mayor

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Consul-General of Mongolia to San Francisco, the USA, Mr Ankhbayar September 26 held a meeting with Alameda Mayor Ms Marie Gilmore. Mr Ankhbayar briefed on the Consulate-General's functions and activities for the Alameda-based Mongolians, and asked whether it is possible to give a support to organizations and societies the Mongolians have initiated, and to collaborate with Alameda mayor in this matter. In response, Ms Gilmore promised to support the Alameda Mongolians and to involve their institutions n her city's programs, adding that she wants to work together with the Consulate-General in providing the Mongolians with the information needed. Then the sides agreed on launching sisterhood relations between Alameda and one of the Mongolian province's center soum in order to develop cultural and educational cooperation.
