FM L.Bold meets his Russian counterpart

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On Thursday, Mr L.Bold met with Mr S.Lavrov, the Minister of foreign affairs of Russian Federation, in the UN Headquarters in New York. The dignitaries exchanged views on the Mongolia-Russia cooperation, noting that the Prime Minister of Mongolia N.Altankhuyag will visit Russia soon. They also stressed that the countries have to make concrete steps to forwarding the bilateral cooperation in several spheres. Mr Lavrov underlined requirements to determine course and results of measures and agreements, made during previous high-level visits, and to analyze roots of current problems and difficulties facing our cooperation. In order to consider these matters, Mr Lavrov invited the Mongolian FM to pay a working visit to Russia in near future. He also underlined that the upcoming in November 25-26 in Moscow the 17th meeting of the Mongolia-Russia intergovernmental commission on trade, economics, science and technical cooperation is to be important in terms reaching solutions to urgent problems. The parties agreed with a necessity to maintain a frequency of high-level mutual visits and business-like meetings, and to ensure a preparation for making them effective.
