Iranˈs Jalili Confers With Syrian President On Regional Developments

Tehran, Feb 4, IRNA - Secretary of Iranˈs Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili on Sunday conferred with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on regional developments. In the meeting, Jalili said world Muslims fully backed Syria in its struggle with the Zionist regime. He also praised the steadfastness of the Syrian people and its government in dealing with the plots of the Zionist regime as well as their support for Lebanese resistance movement. Jalili said that Iran is ready to help Syria with its reconstruction efforts, alleviate peopleˈs sufferings and prepare the grounds for resolving crisis in the country through political means. Both sides also exchanged views on current developments in Syria and reviewed ways of resolving the countryˈs crisis./end
