Iran-Armenia Review Mutual Ties, Regional, Global Developments

Tehran, Nov 9, IRNA - Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi conferred on Tuesday with Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan on issues of mutual interests along with regional and international developments. According to the Information and Press Bureau of the ministry of foreign affairs, Salehi in the meeting called for expansion of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and hoped to witness promotion of bilateral political, economic and cultural relations and cooperation. The Armenian parliament speaker, for his part, said exchange of visits between the two sides' high ranking officials would help deepen ties between the two nations, adding that the current parliamentary relation between the two sides is very warm and friendly. He also called for implemention of political and economic agreements signed by the two sides' officials./end
