Iran Attends National Conference For Rescuing Syria

Damascus, Sept 23, IRNA – National Conference for Rescuing Syria kicked off here Sunday with participation of Iran's Ambassador to Damascus Mohammad Reza Sheibani, Russian envoy and senior diplomats from different world countries. Representatives of 20 Syrian opposition groups are also present in the conference. The opponent groups have invited foreign diplomats to act as the observers of the conference which had already been postponed several times. Experts believe that such a conference will be a positive step towards settlement of crisis in Syria. They describe the event as a success for those pursuing diplomatic solution to the Syrian crisis./end
