Iran, Egypt FMs Discuss Syrian Crisis On Phone

Tehran, June 17, IRNA – Foreign ministers of Iran and Egypt stressed the need to resolve Syrian crisis through diplomacy during a phone call Sunday evening.
Ali-Akbar Salehi of Iran and his Egyptian counterpart Mohamed Kamel Amr stressed the importance of holding a national dialogue to find a diplomatic way out of the Syrian crisis.
Salehi said Tehran welcomed holding a fourfold talks on Syria initiated by President Mohamed Morsi.
The two FMs also discussed Tehran-Cairo relations.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian foreign minister felicitated the Iranian nation on victory of Hassan Rohani in June 14 presidential election.
Rohani won Iranˈs 11th presidential race with 18,613,329 votes, or 50.7 percent of a total of 36,704,156 ballots./end
