Iran Presidential Office Denies Mashaei’s Meeting With Former US Envoy

Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA – Presidential Office on Saturday strongly refuted a news appearing on a website that President's Chief of staff Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei had met with former US ambassador to the Occupied Palestine. The fabricated news aims to undermine the sincere services being rendered by the government to the Iranian nation, it said. Spreading such fabricated rumors is aimed at disturbing public opinion and runs counter to the country’s national security and interests, it said. The Presidential Office said it reserves the rights to sue the website which broadcast such a false news. /end
