Islamic Revolution Uprooted Illegitimate Rulers: Indian official

New Delhi, Feb 8, IRNA – Victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, led by Imam Khomeini, shattered power of irrationality and uprooted the illegitimate rulers, said a senior Indian official here on Tuesday. Talking to IRNA on the 33rd anniversary of victory of the Islamic Revolution, Rashid Alvi, spokesperson of Indian National Congress said, the Islamic Revolution shook the world. “Main characteristic of the Islamic Revolution was that it did not confined to the geographical borders of Iran and influenced other countries not only in the region but across the globe,” noted Alvi. He explained that recent people’s uprisings against the corrupt regimes ruled for years in North Africa, Arab and some Persian Gulf countries are the result of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. Designating the Islamic Revolution as the greatest revolution of 20th century, the Indian official urged the Muslim nations to follow the messages of genuine Islam that resulted in the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran./end
