Kashani: Islamic Republic System Invulnerable

Tehran, Sept 28, IRNA – It is impossible to overthrow the Islamic Republic political system, said the Interim Friday prayers leader of Tehran, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami-Kashani in his second sermon here Friday. The prominent clerics’ was a clear reference to the US President Barack Obama’s comment in his UN General Assembly address where he said that the United States does not pursue the objective of overthrowing the Islamic system in Iran. Kashani said, “As system whose identity is related to God, is safeguarded by a great nation, and gains strengthen from the divine Islamic values cannot be overthrown.” He considered those words by the US president as “boasting” and advised the West to prove its claims in practice and through observing good will. Ayatollah Emami Kashani added, “The strong logic, rich and logical address of the (Iranian) president in New York was based on the Supreme Leader’s guidance on observing heroic lenience.” The ayatollah also prayed to Almighty Allah to assist the Islamic Republic system, the president, and the government to solve the country’s political problems and the people’s economic problems. He also emphasized that the nuclear rights of the Iranian nation are not matters for compromise./end
