Launching Of Satellite, Great Achievement: Pakistan Lawmaker

Islamabad, Jan 30, IRNA -- Pakistani Parliamentarian on Tuesday said that launching of Pioneer Explorer Satellite by Iran is a great achievement not only for the Islamic Republic but for the entire Muslim world. Talking to IRNA, Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz said the development has proved that the Islamic Republic is progressing in the field of science and technology despite western curbs. The Explorer Satellite was launched concurrent with the auspicious birth anniversary of Holy Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The explorer was put in the orbit as per schedule and altitude. The Islamic Republic of Iran has sent a monkey into space aboard an indigenous bio-capsule as a prelude to sending humans into space. Mushahid Ullah Khan said that after the success of Islamic Revolution the western states especially US have been trying to weaken Iran. He said that it is the success of Iran that Islamic Revolution is flourishing despite western moves. The political leader was of the opinion that launching of satellite by Iran is not only the success of Iran but of the region and the entire Muslim world. The Senator went on to say that Iran is a determined nation and progressing in all fields. He said that struggle and steadfastness of Iranian has made them a strong nation. Mushahid Ullah Khan said that development of Iran is very import for the Muslim world. “Iran is a committed nation,” he added. The lawmaker was of the view that western states have to change their policies towards Iran. The Senator added that all independent countries should be allowed to make their policies without any external pressure. ‘US must stop dictating its policies on independent states,’ the parliamentarian said. He advised US to talk to the countries to settle disputes instead of following arm twisting approach. To a question the politician said that US should stop pursuing the policy of double standards against Iran./end
