L.BOLD PARTICIPATES IN ISAF FOREIGN MINISTERIAL MEETING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold took part in the Foreign Ministerial Meeting of the non-NATO ISAF contributing nations held April 2 in Brussels, Belgium. The Foreign Minister L.Bold delivered a speech at the meeting, underling an importance of the NATO operations in Afghanistan, achievements and contribution of Mongolia to ensuring stability in the country. Within the meeting, Mr Bold held a meeting with Mr Alexander Vershbow, the Deputy Secretary General of NATO, and shared views with him on Mongolia’s contribution to the NATO activities, measures taken in frames of the Mongolia-NATO partnership, implementation of joint projects and programmes, and prospects of the bilateral cooperation. After this, Mr Bold met with his counterparts of Germany, Sweden, Norway and Montenegro; and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, discussing the cooperation issues. As of today, 350 troops of Mongolia are being served in the ISAF.
