Lebanon Premier Hails Iran's 6-point Syria Plan As Faultless

Beirut, Dec 29, IRNA -- Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati has said that Iran's six-point peace plan for solving Syria crisis is a comprehensive and faultless plan which if implemented, will bring about valuable repercussions. He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador in Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi, who submitted Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi's message of congratulations to Mikati on the auspicious occasion of Jesus Christ's (P) birth anniversary as well as the start of the New Year to him and the other Christian Lebanese citizens. During the meeting, Roknabadi explained the contents of the peace plan and said that diplomatic solution is the only way to put an end to the Syrian crisis. They also discussed the implementation of the ratifications of the Bilateral Cooperation High Council. Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March 2011. Many people, including a large numbers of security forces, have been killed in the turmoil. On December 16, Iran unveiled details of a six-point plan to resolve the ongoing crisis in Syria, which calls for an immediate end to all violent and armed acts./end
