Malaysian Scholar: West Extremely Anxious By Iran’s Achievements

Kuala Lumpur, Feb 4, IRNA – A leading Malaysian scholar hailed the resistance of the Iranian nation against the West’s expansionist policies for over three decades. Abdul Ghani Shamsuddin who is the President of Malaysian Ulama Association said the achievements of the Islamic Revolution and the dignity of the Iranian nation have frustrated the West. Making the remark in an interview with IRNA on the occasion of the 33rd victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, he said the achievements of the Iranian nation are a source of pride for all world Muslims. He further noted that all these achievements worried the western colonial powers which have always been after expansion of their dominance in the Middle East and among Muslim countries. The scholar added, Iran's progress has awakened other nations as well thus threatening the future of the hegemonic system ruling the world./end
