MONGOLIA ATTENDS 11TH SESSION OF SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANIZATION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Deputy Prime Minister L.Terbishdagva and accompanying him delegates have participated in the11th regular session of the Council of the heads of the governments-members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization /SCO/.
The action ran in Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan, on November 27-28.
Addressing the meeting, Mr Terbishdagva said Mongolian government is giving an importance to the Mongolia-SCO mutually beneficial cooperation and added a willingness to more effectively take part in regional projects in frames of the SCO.
After this Mr Terbishdagva held meetings with the SCO Secretary-General D.Mezentsev, Second Vice President of Afghanistan
K.Halili, Russian Minister of Transport M.Sokolov, the Deputy FM of Russia I.Morgulov, the Deputy PM Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan Ganiev to share views on the cooperation issues.
At the session, among the prominent participants were Kazakhstan PM S. Ahmedov, Chinese PM Li Keqiang, Kyrgyzstan PM J.Satibaldiyev, Russian PM D.Medvedev, Tajikistan PM K.Rasulzade, and Uzbek PM S.Mirziyoyev.
Present also were representatives of the SCO observer-countries such as First Deputy Minister of External Affairs of India S.Singh, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran M. Nematzadeh, Adviser to Pakistan PM on Foreign Affairs and National Security S.Aziz, and also delegates of the international partner-organizations--Executive Secretary of UN Eonomic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific /ESCAP/ N.Heyzer, Deputy Secretary-General of Association of South East Asian Nations /ASEAN / N.Lynn and chairperson of the Executive Committee Executive Secretary of CIS S.Lebedev.
The agenda of the meeting included a range of issues touched upon a global and regional economic development, relations of trade- economy, finance and humanity in the frame of the SCO, a multilateral cooperation development of international transit transportation, prevention of natural disasters.
The gathered issued a joint declaration.
