MONGOLIA TO COLLABORATE WITH RUSSIA IN GEOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia has determined directions of cooperation with Russia in the geological sector for next year, and issued a related protocol. It was reported at a meeting themed "Transparent Mining" Wednesday in Ulaanbaatar. The protocol was signed during the 17th meeting of the Mongolia-Russia intergovernmental commission on trade, economics, sciences and technical cooperation last month in Moscow, Russia. In accordance with the document, the countries will cooperation in the information sharing on geological reserves, and will prepare the Mongolian geological experts in Russia’s universities and institutes and involve them in mid-career training. The countries will also co-participate in a project on drawing a map of geological survey of Central Asia. Mongolia will buy up to one million tons of oil products from Russia at competitive prices and will take measures for upgrading actions of the "Mongolrostsvetmet" LLC and augmenting the Mongolian export of fluorspar.
