MONGOLIA ESTABLISHES DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH KIRIBATI

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Kiribati on January 15 in New-York, the USA. This took place in frames of Mongolia's aim to establish such ties with all member-countries of the UN. The sides have agreed to boost and strengthen the bilateral friendly relations and cooperation as a key guide and to adhere to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the UN Charter, and international legal principles and standards. The official joint statement on the diplomatic relations was inked by the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN and Ambassador O.Och and by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kiribati to the UN and Ambassador Makurita Baaro. The two countries will now assist each other in frames of bilateral and international organizations, and run a fruitful cooperation in economy, culture, humanity and environment spheres, also in directions of climate change and sustainable development goals.
