Mongolian President receives Czech PM

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the sidelines of the state visit to the Czech Republic, the leader of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj received the Czech Prime Minister Mr Bohuslav Sobotka on January 20.
The latter emphasized achievements Mongolia gained in the last 25 years and congratulated Mongolia for successfully making the economic transition, "because we know how difficult it was". He is also glad that "our two countries have maintained the close bilateral relations in these years".
"We have plenty of information about Mongolia’s economic situation. The trade volume between our two countries tends to decrease. I believe that this visit will boost the trade ties," he said.
In response, the President said the Czech Republic was one of the closest and best partners and friends of Mongolia. "These pleasant relations have been laid by our old generations," he added and noted that the two countries are celebrating the 65th anniversary of the diplomatic relations this year. "This milestone will provide us with opportunity to analyze the achievements and progress of our cooperation and to visualize the future collaborative frameworks,” said the President.
At the meeting were present the Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Czech Republic D.Zumberellkham, Minister of Population Development and Social Welfare S.Erdene, Deputy Minister of Defense A.Battur. The Czech sides was represented by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Mongolia Ivana Grollova, Foreign Minister Martin Tlapa, Deputy Minister of Defense Daniel Kostoval and others.
