MPP elects representatives for its Congress

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ To discuss the party issues at the 27th Congress of the Mongolian People’s Party’s on October 27-29, a total of 1,134 party members out of 200 thousand have been elected.
The agenda of the upcoming Congress includes amendments to the action plan and rules of the Party in order to enhance its actions, to take prompt measures under circumstances occurred, and to decide on its new image. At the Congress, the party members will also determine development policies for the state and people of Mongolia.
As of today, an election of the participants has concluded, however, discussions on the Congress agenda are still continuing at the Party level. In order to reflect the proposals of non-governmental organizations in the party policies, some discussions have been held at the Party. Its leaders met with party senior members on October 9, before the discussion-meeting themed "Women’s involvement in the Party reforms" with a participation of members of the Capital city Social Democracy Women’s Association, and some 100 party women-members elected to the approaching Party Congress.
A scholarly conference “Mongolian People’s Party’s development policies and goals - the 27th Party Congress” were held on October 8, under co-organization by three working groups – a working group for the Party action plan development, a working group for the Party rules amendments and a working group for the Development plan. At the conference where scholars, academicians, and base level organizations of the Party took part, the working groups briefed on their work, and conducted discussions over the intended amendments to the Party action plan, rules, and development policies of Mongolia.
