NATIONAL PROGRAM ON COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING DEVELOPED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The meeting of a subsidiary council of the Justice Ministry on Tuesday discussed the current state of human trafficking in Mongolia and fighting against it. The Ministry is planning to develop a national program on combating human trafficking and to submit it to parliament discussion within the first quarter of 2014. The Ministry also briefed on ongoing activities in fighting against this kind of crime, which include establishment of a united network to share crime information, distribution of warning leaflets in border ports, and broadcasting of propaganda programs at railway stations. The Ministry rendered a technical assistance to the organized crime departments of the Investigation Agency and the Police, and granted a funding of seven million togrog to "Gender Equal Rights" non-governmental organization.
