Pakistani Religious Leader Hails Success Of Islamic Revolution

Islamabad, Feb 4, IRNA – Pakistani religious leader on Friday said that Islamic Revolution in Iran has been flourishing gloriously for past 33 years thwarting all conspiracies. Talking to IRNA, former Chief of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Qazi Hussain Ahmad added that the revolution showed to the world that politics and religion are interlinked. “The revolution negated all the western claims that religion and politics are two different notions,” he added. Expressing his views, the religious leader said that Imam Khomeini with his great struggle had forced the Iranian nation to start Islamic Revolution. He congratulated the people of Iran and their government for upholding the torch of Imam Khomeini. Qazi Hussain Ahmad termed the Islamic Revolution as one of the important revolutions of the twentieth century. He said that the revolution has transformed Iran into an Islamic welfare state. He noted that west has been doing negative propaganda against the revolution but they are failed to accomplish their evil designs against Iran 'Now the time has come to turn ourselves to Islam and Iran is an example before us', added the religious leader. He added that Imam Khomeini gave a true concept of Islam and set an example for the other Muslims countries. He said that Islam is not only a religion but a complete code of life. The politician said that uprising movements in Muslim world were inspired by the Islamic revolution. He appreciated the holding of Muslim youth conference by Iran adding that such event would bring Muslim youth close to their roots.
