Permanent Representative delivers speech at UN

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations (UN) Tuesday delivered a speech on international combat against terrorism at the 6th committee’s plenary meeting of the 68th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, USA. Mr Och gave details about Mongolian government’s policy on combating a terrorism and related measures. Having joined international treaties and conventions on combating the terrorism and its prevention, Mongolia has been fulfilling its responsibilities, and has adopted new law and amendments to the relevant laws, he said. He also emphasized an important role of the Arms Trade Treaty in combating trans-boundary and organized crimes, illicit trade and using weapons for terrorist actions, and informed the gathered that Mongolia recently has signed this treaty.
