PM attends Mongolia-China business meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the third day of his official visit to China, the Premier N.Altankhuyag attended a Mongolia-China business meeting in Shenyang city of Liaoning province. The business meeting in the “Liaoning-Friendship” hotel gathered representatives of many public and private institutions of both countries. The Deputy Secretary for the Party Provincial Committee Xu Weigou said his province is interested in cooperation with Mongolia in road and tourism businesses. He also requested the Premier to consider options to open a consulate of Mongolia in Liaoning. “There were many reasons to chose Liaoning as a host of this business meeting; the nearest sea port to Mongolia locates in this province, and our country’s further development seems to base on natural resources in its south and eastern regions, the closest to Liaoning province,” highlighted Mongolia’s Ambassador in China Ts.Sukhbaatar. “The province has potential to become our nearest partner in China”. The near term goals of the Mongolian government on transportation and logistics infrastructure were introduced to the guests by Transportation Minister A.Ganbold. “Chinese firms are welcome to take part in large-scale railway and road projects in Mongolia as an investor or contractor,” he said. The officials from Liaoning also explored possible ways to involve the above projects of Mongolia. Mr Altanhuyag said he is pleased to see immediate realization of his negotiation with the Province governor a day ago and expressed a satisfaction on mutual agreement for railway and road planning. "We attach a great significance to this railway and road network plan, as it not only brings the economic cooperation of both countries to a higher level, but also opens a new door to the world countries for Mongolia," said the Premier.
