Prime Minister visits Liaoning province

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Premier N.Altankhuyag Wednesday arrived in Liaoning province of China. He was welcomed by Mr Chen Zhenggao, the governor of the province. The latter said that people of his province, "a historically connected with Mongolia, always like traveling to Mongolia but face some difficulties in it, moreover, despite nice opportunities to boost trade and economic cooperation, the sides still have problems with transportation and logistics infrastructure", and asked the Premier to solve these problems. In response, Mr Altankhuyag said Mongolia is considering ways of opening direct flights between Ulaanbaatar and Shenyang, and of constructing railways from Sukhbaatar aimag’s Baruun-Urt soum to Liaoning’s capital city. As of today, the countries make Ulaanbaatar--Dornod--Khailaar flights, he added. The countries are to sign a middle- and long-term programme on strategic partnership within his visit, said the Premier, adding this document reflects a matter on expanding the bilateral trade and economic cooperation through increasing a participation of regions. He also said Liaoning province is a stronghold of the Chinese side in boosting the bilateral commercial ties. Considering that the east-southern aimag of Mongolia Sukhbaatar can cooperate with Liaoning in all spheres, the sides established a cooperation memorandum in frames of the Mongolia-China strategic partnership.
