REVIEW MEETING FOR UNDAF 2012-2016 TO RUN

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A review meeting of 2012-2013 for the United Nations Development Assistance Framework 2012-2016 will be held Tuesday at the UN House's conference room in Ulaanbaatar. The meeting consists of three sessions, opening remarks will be made by Ms Sezin Sinanoglu, the UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Mongolia; and by L.Bold,the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The first session regarding progress on development and achievements by strategic priorities is co-chaired by Dr Soe, WHO Representative, and by Ms V.Olziibayar, Deputy Director of Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the second session of implementation arrangements--by Mr Mohamed Malick Fall, UNICEF Representative, and by Ms Olziibayar. The third session is to focus on conclusions and next steps. During the first session, the Deputy Director of MFA Department of International Organizations Ms Olziibayar will give a speech on overview of UNDAF progress and achievements. Presentations titled "Sustainable Economic Development and Poverty Alleviation" and "Basic Social Services and Social Protection" will be made by Sheikh Ahaduzzaman, a Deputy FAO Representative, and by Mr Mohamed Malick Fall, UNICEF Representative. Other two presentations "Environment, Climate Change, and Disaster Risk Reduction" and "Governance and Human Rights" will be performed by Mr Thomas Eriksson, UNDP DRR, and by Ms Naomi Kitahara, UNFPA Representative. A delegate from the Resident Coordinator's Office A.Tsetsegmaa will make a presentation on the implementation arrangements and challenges at the second session, whereas remarks on the meeting's conclusions and next steps will be made by Ms Sinanoglu and Mr Bold.
