ROUNDTABLE MEETING BETWEEN MONGOLIA AND UK HELD IN ULAANBAATAR

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A roundtable meeting between Mongolia and the United Kingdom took place in Ulaanbaatar on April 26. The meeting was led by D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Mongolia and Simon McDonald, Head of the Diplomat Service and Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from the UK. During the roundtable meeting the bilateral consultative dialogue, the two sides exchanged views on the present situation, future goals and ongoing measures in the fields of politics, economy, investment, defense, education and environment as well as multilateral cooperation and other pressing regional issues. Moreover, Simon McDonald, Head of the Diplomat Service and Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office delivered a presentation under the theme “Masterclass in Diplomacy” about diplomatic service for diplomatic staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, researchers and students.
