Syrian Editor: Terrorists, Allies Reach Dead-end

Damascus, June 17, IRNA – Editor-in-chief of the Syrian newspaper al-Sawra (The Revolution) Ali Kamel Qasem has said that the countryˈs terrorist groups and their allies have reached a dead end. ˈSyrians will never stop their support for their government,ˈ Kamel Qasem said in an exclusive interview with IRNA. He stressed that terrorist groups in Syria and their western and Arab allies, particularly the Zionist regime, US, Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, have reached a dead end. The journalist added that consciences of the regional states have been awakened by witnessing Westˈs all-out arms and financial support for terrorist groups in Syria. He stressed that supporters of the Syrian terrorists would ˈsoon pay the cost of their supports.ˈ Kamel Qasem said that Washington and Tel Aviv are not only after collapse of the Syrian government but they are also ˈplaying a key role in creating tensions in the Middle East region, particularly in the Islamic Iran.ˈ He said that Iranian and Syrian media have been ˈsuccessful in an unequal struggle against their western counterparts in giving coverage to the ongoing crisis in Syria.ˈ ˈEven enemies of Syria have realized that western media are dependent on the US and Zionist regime and are sending false reports about the current situation in Syria,ˈ the journalist said. He praised Iranian media for ˈproviding a true image to the world public opinion from what is underway in Syria.ˈ/end
