Turkish fm speaks with head of Arab League

ANKARA (A.A) - November 9, 2011 - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu spoke with Arab League Secretary General Nabil el-Araby on the phone on Wednesday. El-Araby briefed Davutoglu about the recent developments in Syria during the phone conversation.  Sources said that the phone call was made by El-Araby. Hundreds of people have been killed during pro-democracy protests in Syria since January 2011. Turkey's southern Hatay province has been hosting Syrian citizens, who fled their country and took shelter in Turkey, since that date. At least 7,726 Syrian citizens are staying in six temporary tent-sites set up by Turkish Red Crescent in Altinozu, Yayladagi, Reyhanli towns and Apaydin village of Hatay.
