WORKING GROUP ON CONSTITUTION ALTERATION MEETS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A meeting ran Wednesday of a working group who is responsible for analyzing a matter on whether to amend the Constitution of Mongolia.
This group has been set up by the Speaker's order to scrutinize the matter and to draw up a related proposal.
At the meeting, chaired by L.Tsog, a Vice Speaker of parliament, the gathered were given presentations on a course of the research called "Institutional development of democratic governance: Lessons and reform proposals" and on draft amendments to the Constitution, by Dr Ch.Enkhbaatar, a head of a research group, and N.Tsogtsaikhan, a member of the working group and section head of the Parliamentary Office.
After them, D.Lundeejantsan, A.Bakei, D.Demberel, N.Battsereg, S.Demberel and L.Tsogt MPs put forward their proposals. They reminded the research group that materials must be analyzed thoroughly, groundless or biased terminology must not be used, and that it would be better to consider opinions and ideas of independent researchers.
The working group said the issue would be sent to a Standing committee after all conclusions and proposals will be consolidated by the researches.
