Lebanese General: Iran Navy Drills, A Warning To US

Beirut, Jan 7, IRNA – Lebanese General Amin Hoteit said the most prominent point of the recent war games by the Iranian Navy was the warning given to the US warship stationed in the Persian Gulf saying not to ever return to the region. Talking to IRNA, he hailed the achievements of 'Velayat-90' war games recently conducted by the Iranian Navy in the country’s southern territorial waters. He further praised Iran’s intelligence in choosing the site and time for showcasing its military might and said the drills fully revealed Iran’s military power and strength. He also praised the performance of Iranian missiles and said they hit their targets with marvelous precision and speed. The Lebanese army official further referred to Iran’s warning to the US warship stationed in the Persian Gulf, urging it not to return to the region, he said such kind of show of power has been unprecedented in the world for the several past decades. He stressed that the US behavior so far shows that it has understood the true meaning of this warning./end
