Killing of Iranian Scientist Proves West’s Disappointment: Official

Tehran, Jan 15, IRNA – Supreme Leader's advisor for international affairs Ali- Akbar Velayati said assassination of Iranian scientists proved West’s failure in hindering Iran’s progress.
Speaking to IRNA, he said the recent killing of the nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan was another attempt by the West to create obstacle in the way of progress of the Iranian nation.
Velayati reiterated that this clear case of state terrorism indicated enemies frustration.
Saying that the martyrdom of such figures only reinforces will of the Iranian nation to pursue its path, he noted that it was all clear to the world that the terrorist act was carried out by the US and its Zionist agents.
He noted that about 120 world countries have so far condemned the killing of the Iranian scientist and said this shows that the world is aware of the enemy's hateful acts.
Velayati stressed that the outcome of such acts will be contrary to what the enemies have planned because it will further encourage the Iranian nation to materialize its objectives.
In the most recent instance of a string of assassination attempts against Iranian scientists, Ahmadi Roshan was martyred on January 11 after an unknown motorcyclist attached a magnetic bomb to his vehicle in Tehran.
He was a chemistry engineering graduate of Iran's prominent Sharif University of Technology./end
