Rahimi: Islamic Awakening Movement Spreading To US, Europe

Tehran, Feb 7, IRNA – First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi said that Islamic Awakening movement have swept the US and Europe, indicating that the world today is on verge of great changes and developments. Speaking to Tunisian Ambassador to Tehran Mohammad al-Hasayeri here on Monday, Rahimi said people in the four corners of the world are now hearing calls for peace, justice and tranquility. He said Tunisia is an important country in the world of Islam. “The Tunisian people are wise and pioneers of Islamic Awakening,” he added. He went on to say that the Islamic Republic of Iran sees no limit on expansion of ties with Tunisia and is ready to put its 30-year experiences in various fields at the disposal of the Tunisian revolutionary people. Al-Hasayeri, for his part, congratulated Rahimi on the victory anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, saying remarkable progress and great scientific achievements during post-revolution era in Iran are amazing. He said such achievements make the friends of the Iranian nation happy and it e, angering the enemies as outstanding example of the enemies’ wrath is their terrorist activities against Iranian nuclear scientists. On the 11th Iran-Tunisia Joint Economic Commission session, due to be held in the near future, al-Hasayeri said, “We would do out best to turn the Commission into an opportunity for promotion of the two-way ties in various sectors.”/end
