American, Turkish businessmen meet in Mississippi

JACKSON (A.A) - February 22, 2012 - American and Turkish businessmen meet in Mississippi, the United States, and discussed new business opportunities. Turkuaz Council (TCAE) and Texas Turkish American Chamber of Commerce (TTACC) hosted Turkey-Azerbaijan and Mississippi Business Forum in Jackson, Mississippi. U.S. congressmen also attended the forum, supported efforts to boost economic relations and invited Turkish businessmen to Mississippi. Twenty businessmen from Turkey, ten Turkish businessmen working in the United States and 15 U.S. companies participated in the forum. Speaking to AA correspondent, U.S. Congressman Roger Wicker said such meetings would boost cooperation between Turkish and American peoples, and Turkey was one of the countries the state of Mississippi was exporting goods to. Wicker said they wanted to establish strong economic partnerships with Turkey, and called on Turkish businessmen to visit the United States, learn more about their products and discuss new cooperation possibilities.
