Iran Strongly Condemns Waves Of Israeli State Terrorism

Tehran, March 12, IRNA – Iran on Sunday strongly condemned the new waves of Israeli state terrorism including its targeted air raids to assassinate leaders of Palestinian movements fighting to end Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. Foreign Ministry said in a strongly-worded statement that once again Israeli state terrorism took lives of 12 people and wounded more than 20 Palestinian citizens in consecutive operations. Israel targeted leaders of Palestinian resistance movement including Zuhair al-Qaissi and his companions. The Foreign Ministry said that Israeli leaders have perpetrated crimes against humanity and war crimes. 'Targeted killings account for gross violation of international law and an ordinary practice Israel does to assassinate Palestinian combatants. Israeli leaders must be brought to justice for the war crimes and state terrorism they perpetrated against Palestinian citizens.' Israel perpetrated state terrorism to assassinate secretary-general of Palestine Resistance Committee Zuhair al-Qaissi and his companions. The statement criticized inaction of the international organizations and the so-called advocates of human rights and their failure to stop Israeli state terrorism and crimes against humanity. 'Though the Israeli war crimes against Palestinian civilians are not a new practice, it reflects the terrorist nature of the Tel Aviv regime and its ignorance of the international law.' The statement called on Islamic governments and Organization of the Islamic Cooperation to strongly condemn the Israeli state terrorism. Palestinian medical officials said Israeli air strikes have killed 17 Palestinian citizens since Friday including a 12-year-old boy on Sunday. IRNA reporter in Gaza City said that tens of thousands of Palestinian mourners took to the streets of Gaza Saturday for the funeral processions of those killed, chanting the slogans such as 'revenge, revenge'./end
